What it is

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It belongs to the class of GHRH analogues. It is supplied as lyophilized material for research use only.

Mechanism (technical)

Tesamorelin has been studied for its action on GHRH receptors to stimulate endogenous growth hormone secretion and downstream IGF-1. In clinical research this mechanism has been investigated in relation to visceral and hepatic fat and lipid parameters. Cognitive endpoints have also been examined in the context of growth hormone axis stimulation.
