What it is
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It belongs to the class of GHRH analogues, and some forms incorporate a drug-affinity complex (DAC) to extend half-life. It is supplied as lyophilized material for research use only.
Mechanism (technical)
CJC-1295 has been studied for its action on GHRH receptors in the pituitary, where it has been investigated for stimulation of endogenous growth hormone secretion and downstream serum IGF-1. Clinical pharmacology studies have characterized the growth hormone secretory pattern and pharmacokinetics under sustained stimulation. A preclinical model examined the growth hormone axis in GHRH-knockout mice.
